'Erotic' is one of the most special releases coming from Madonna ever: The Promotional Only 1-track CD was only available as part of Madonna's infamous and long-out-of-print 'Sex'-Book.

The CD, which comes in a special re-sealable mylar-wrapper sleeve, contained only the track 'Erotic' - yes, 'Erotic' and not 'Erotica'. It's a stripped down version of the single: Less instrumentation and completely different lyrics. Click here to compare the lyrics: Erotic vs. Erotica.

The CD was most of all meant as a teaser for the then-upcoming 'Erotica'-album and single, but also served as a companion CD to the book. Listen to Dita while looking at 'Sex' ;-) The CD is - together with the book - a sought after collector's item nowadays.

The version heard on this Promo CD has never been released commercially, the only thing coming close is a remix by William ?rbit on the Maxi CD / 12' of the 'Erotica'-single which is using the alternative lyrics of 'Erotic'.
