Alicia Bridges - I Love The Nightlife (1994 Remixes) (CD Maxi)

I've Got To Boogie...

Alicia Bridges - I Love The Nightlife (1994 Remixes) (CD Maxi)
'I love the nightlife (disco 'round)' was a successful disco record in 1978, selling a million in the US.
This song wasn't meant to be released as a single but proved so popular in American discos it was issued as a single in 1978. Despite this becoming a hit, Bridges didn't regard herself as a Disco artist and refused to release further Disco tracks. She regarded herself primarily as a Rock and Blues singer. The original intention for 'I Love The Nightlife' was to be an R&B song and it only started being played on the radio after Jim Burgess created a 12' single remix.
This reached the top of the charts in France and Germany.
Repopularised and remixed in the early 1990's for the film 'Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert'.
For Bridges, this was her only hit. Her follow-up song 'Body Heat' topped out at #86 in the US, and her next album was her last.
